Spie ICS ensures the overhaul of the CEA Marcoule network infrastructure

(Boursier.com) — Spie ICS, a French digital services company subsidiary of Spie, supports the CEA Marcoule in the overhaul of its LAN (computer network) infrastructure. Modernized to make it more efficient, agile and secure, the new network developed with the Extreme Networks solution aims to ensure high availability and support future developments at CEA Marcoule.

Spie ICS won this new contract in July 2022, by offering the solution best suited to the center’s needs. The migration of the computer network took place between October 2022 and March 2023. The Spie ICS teams will continue working with the CEA Marcoule teams in order to transmit to them the skills of using and managing this new network.

Created in 1955, CEA Marcoule is at the heart of the energy challenges of the 21st century thanks to its work focusing in particular on the circular economy and preservation of the environment. In order to better meet the needs of 1,500 employees and more than 5,000 users, the CEA relied on the LAN network solutions market of UGAP, the public purchasing center, in order to develop its network.
