Spielberg quiz: what movies are these images from?

Think you’re Steven Spielberg’s biggest fan and know his films from the first frame to the last? That’s good: it’s up to you to recognize these first shots of his work.

Everyone has seen Steven Spielberg’s movies. Perhaps not all of them, because some, like Sugarland Express and 1941, are not among the most frequently cited by the general public. But this work that he has been shaping for more than five decades in the cinema has marked and still marks several generations, with images engraved in everyone’s memory.

But will you be able to recognize them, precisely, the images that we have selected? And more precisely these first shots taken from his filmography? It’s up to you to show us if you can be considered one of Steven Spielberg’s biggest fans.

Released this Wednesday, February 22 in our theaters, and in the running for 7 Oscars (including those for Best Director and Best Film), The Fabelmans is not part of this quiz. But it echoes several of the feature films that make it up. Returning to the youth of Steven Spielberg, not without romanticizing a few passages, he evokes both the divorce of his parents, experienced as a trauma, and the birth of his passion for the 7th Art.

A love thanks to which, by extension, he will traumatize many holidaymakers thanks to his Jaws. Will bring the dinosaurs back to life in Jurassic Park and its sequel. Will direct Tom Cruise in two of the greatest science fiction films of the 21st century. Will give a sequel to the adventures of Peter Pan. Will create an iconic hero in the person of Indiana Jones. And will make us revisit History, while being part of that of cinema.

While The Fabelmans reminds us of this and presents itself as the culmination of his career, the occasion was too good not to return to his filmography. With a fairly high level of difficulty, of course.
