Split, governance crisis: Atos’ descent into hell


DECRYPTION – The strategic plan supposed to relaunch the French group is very badly received: the action has collapsed by 24%.

The smiles and pleasantries exchanged between the two men barely concealed the prevailing unease. Rodolphe Belmer, CEO of Atos and Bertrand Meunier, Chairman of the Board of Directors, took care to sit side by side on Tuesday during the presentation to investors of Atos’ strategic plan. Expected for several months, this formalizes the project of splitting into two listed companies completely separate from the activities of the French technology group by the end of 2023. On the one hand, the entity which will keep the name of Atos will group together the historical activities facilities management, in other words the management of companies’ IT infrastructures. In structural decline, they represent 55% of the group’s total turnover.
