Alongside Google’s smartphones, the Pixel Watch is getting an update, following announcements at Google I/O last month. Long-awaited features are on the way: here they are.
Google’s connected watch can boast of having good software monitoring, like the brand’s smartphones. Several features are being added to the Pixel Watch, some of which were highly anticipated.
Monitoring of oxygen saturation in the blood
SpO2 measurement is coming to the Pixel Watch. Google’s first smartwatch can measure oxygen saturation in your blood, especially while you sleep. Tracking over time will allow “ help you spot any changes related to your activity, altitude and general well-being Google notes. Enough to make up for a certain delay on this watch, at an hour or number of models offering this measurement.
Another change coming to the Pixel Watch is the abnormally low or abnormally high heart rate notification. The idea is to prevent any heart risk.

Other features that do not concern health data have been added or improved on the connected watch, after the arrival of fall detection a few months ago.
Google Assistant increasingly polyglot
Finally, Google Assistant has new languages added to Wear OS: Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Polish and Swedish.
New tiles for Spotify
Three new tiles are added for the Spotify application: they make it easier to control your music.
More reliable sports sessions
The Pixel Watch can now pause your training: walking, running, cycling, etc. if you stop in progress. Which can be convenient if you have to wait at a traffic light, at a pedestrian crossing or because you meet an acquaintance.
Workout tracking can automatically resume behind. The advantage is to have sessions that are more representative of your physical activity.
