According to her spokesman, there is no longer any hope for Anne Heche. The actress is “brain dead”, as he now announced.

After the accidental actress Anne Heche (53) initially spoke of a “serious anoxic brain injury”, her spokesman has now expressed the sad fear. Heche is “brain dead”, as quoted by The Washington Post.

It had previously been said that it was not assumed that the “Six Days, Seven Nights” star would survive. Her family and her doctors have already made arrangements for organ donation. This is also the reason why the 53-year-old is still connected to life-support machines.

“Anne had a huge heart and touched everyone she met with her generous spirit. Even more than her extraordinary talent, she made it her mission to spread kindness and joy,” her rep continues.

Driving under the influence of drugs?

Shortly after the horror accident in which her Mini-Cooper crashed into a house in the Mar Vista district of Los Angeles and burst into flames, speculation arose as to whether the actress was driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

A blood test has now shown that Heche consumed cocaine before her crash. However, she should not have been drunk. That reports the US celebrity portal “TMZ” citing law enforcement sources. It is currently being investigated whether Heche may have also consumed the painkiller fentanyl. According to a Los Angeles Police Department insider, both substances were found in her blood.
