Parliamentarians have issued seven reports targeting presidents of sports federations for possible false testimony before a commission of inquiry, six of which have already been received by the Paris prosecutor’s office, the public prosecutor said on Thursday. These reports come from a commission of inquiry at the Assembly, which carried out for several months a series of hearings on the failures of the federations and on their responses to sexist and sexual violence, on the fight against racism or their financial management.
Six reports, received on December 26, refer to “false testimony under oath” and are “awaiting attribution”, specified the public prosecutor, who confirmed information from the World. The prosecution can now decide to open a criminal investigation or to close them. Sabrina Sebaihi, environmental rapporteur of the parliamentary committee, also indicated that she had issued a seventh report targeting Nadir Allouache, president of the French Federation of kickboxing, muay thai and associated disciplines (FFKMDA). “There may be others, we are not finished yet,” she added to AFP.
Gilles Moretton also targeted
Gilles Moretton, president of the French Tennis Federation (FFT), is particularly targeted for several of his statements regarding financial elements. They are Serge Lecomte, president of the French Equestrian Federation (FFE); Gwenaëlle Noury, president of the French Ice Sports Federation (FFSG); Jean-Luc Rougé, former boss of the French Federation of Judo and associated disciplines (FFJDA) and current secretary general of the International Judo Federation; Jean Lapeyre, legal director of the French Football Federation (FFF) and Fabien Canu, director general of the National Institute of Sport, Expertise and Performance (Insep).
