Sports tip: The most important rules in the gym

Finally attained a visit to the gym, the mood can only go up – if not annoying others with their very own way of using the studio. These are the seven largest no-gos.

Annoy other users with volume

There is no objection to listening to music or YouTube videos to support the training. But who sonicates the whole studio with it is ruthless. Groans or loud phone calls also fall into this category.

Forget your towel

Into the studio without a towel? That can happen. But then please stay away from devices that touch the whole body. Nobody wants to train on the sweat of others.

Block devices

Who doesn't know them, the people who reserve several devices at once instead of just the one that they use immediately? It is also annoying for those waiting if someone takes more than just a short breather after each exercise and plays on their cell phones for minutes.

Comment on other people's exercises

Even if you are a professional, you should avoid unwanted comments on other people's exercises. They themselves know why they do it the way they do it. If someone needs help, they will ask someone for advice on their own.

Stare at people

No matter how good someone looks: Staring at fellow studio users is a no-go. People who concentrate on their own exercises and let others do theirs are more pleasant. The same naturally also applies to the shower and changing room.

Dating

Attempts to meet someone in the gym are uncomfortable for the object of desire. Flirting and picking up don't belong here. Most go to the studio to do their exercises. Being flirted with it quickly spoils the fun of sport.

Lack of hygiene

Some walk through the sports hall with sneakers they used to walk around outside with. Just as unattractive: turn up with smelly sportswear that hasn't seen a washing machine from the inside since the last training session.
