(AOF) – Spotify is expected to rise significantly in pre-market trading. The music streaming giant revealed significantly more optimistic forecasts for the current quarter, expecting an operating profit of 180 million euros, well above the consensus of 84.6 million euros. For its fourth fiscal quarter, the Swedish firm recorded an operating loss of 75 million euros and a net loss of 70 million euros. Its revenues amounted to 3.67 billion euros over the period, an improvement of 16% year-on-year, against 3.72 billion consensus.
Also, the total number of premium subscribers increased by 15% to 236 million, which was slightly higher than the forecasted 235.01 million.
