Sprint legend is really angry
Company apparently steals $10 million from Usain Bolt

Even the fastest man in the world is not immune to theft. Apparently Usain Bolt was cheated out of almost ten million dollars. An investment company has stolen the sprint legend and many other customers, so the suspicion. It’s about $1.2 billion in total.

Usain Bolt is mad, really mad. “In a world full of lies … Where is the truth? The history of evil … What is the root? … Money,” wrote the Sprint icon on social networks, quoting from his own song “Cryptic World”. Apparently, Bolt lost a lot of money, a lot. Allegedly almost ten million US dollars.

The famous Jamaican is at the center of an alleged fraud scandal involving investment firm Stocks and Securities Limited (SSL). The financial supervisory authority has placed them under “enhanced supervision”, and several authorities, including the police fraud department, are investigating. The suspicion: SSL has stolen money from its customers, according to media reports it is about 1.2 billion US dollars.

Bolt must have looked pretty crippled too when he opened his SSL account in December. The Jamaica Observer reported that what was once the fastest man in the world paid in ten million about ten years ago. Suddenly there was only $2,000 left, and the eight-time Olympic champion never took anything out, he assured. “All relevant steps have been taken to get to the bottom of the matter,” said Bolt’s manager Nugent Walker. “His entire portfolio is being reviewed.”

While Bolt fears he’ll never see his money again, Jamaica’s outrage is rampant. Ironically Bolt, the legend of the country, the world record holder over 100 and 200 meters, who gave his compatriots so many moments of happiness, is cheated at home. Celebrities and politicians commented on the case, one said: “The country is behind you, my friend.”
