On YouTube, there will now be fewer Squeezie videos. France’s leading YouTuber is not going to stop his career, or even put it on hiatus for a while, as our colleagues at BFMTV have confirmed. Its production rate will nevertheless decrease, as its teams have clarified.
His revelations took place during the preview of Thanks Internet, the documentary about Squeezie which will be available on January 19, 2024 on Prime. During the event, “ Théodore Bonnet, friend and editor of the video maker, had suggested that a ‘real break’ of ‘several months’ would be taken after the release of the program », explains BFMTV. The media contacted the Squeezie teams, who denied these comments: Squeezie would have already made this break, and should therefore not disappear from YouTube. Serial burnouts among YouTubers
Squeezie, who has 18.7 million subscribers on his YouTube channel, has until now released one video per week. He also led other projects in parallel, such as the organization of the GP Explorer, a car race between YouTubers, or Gentlemate, an e-sport structure bringing together big French names. A particularly busy schedule, leading to the fact that, according to Théodore Bonnet, Squeezie would have “ put his personal life aside for ten years “.
The videographer had, as early as February 2023, warned in a video that the pace of YouTube was tiring him. “ If all the videos I make every week have to be in this vein, as long, with guests and a concept, me and my teams will have a giga burn-out. » The break that Squeezie would have taken after the documentary would have allowed him to rest.
