WEGA officers were stopped around 9:30 p.m. by an agitated passerby who said he had witnessed a violent altercation between two men nearby. The police officers immediately made their way to the scene. The victim suffered an injury to his upper body. When they arrived there, the officers noticed two men, one of whom – the 27-year-old – had an injury to his upper body. The 29-year-old is believed to have attacked him with a knife during the argument. When the officers told the suspect that he was under arrest, he suddenly ran away. Officers fired a blank shot. Despite repeated requests to stop, the attacker did not stop. Even a blank shot by the emergency services did not persuade the attacker to stop. After a short time, a police officer was finally able to catch the escapee. The murder weapon was seized by the police. The 29-year-old defended himself against his arrest with kicks and elbow strikes. What triggered the altercation between the two men has not yet been clarified. The murder weapon was seized.
