Downing Street said it was “extremely disappointed” by the treatment inflicted on England’s Liverpool fans in the Champions League final. Liverpool chairman Tom Werner has written to the sports minister demanding an apology for his supporters. An investigation is being conducted by the club to determine the course of events.
The Stade de France affair causes diplomatic tensions. On Monday, Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s office said it was “extremely disappointed” with the treatment of British supporters in France. The anger does not subside. On the side of the Liverpool club, the reactions were also felt. Liverpool chairman Tom Werner has written to the sports minister demanding an apology for his supporters.

Indeed, the club is furious following the statements of the two French ministers and believes that they are advancing false information.
