Microsoft’s next big exclusive, STALKER 2 was supposed to be released on December 8 on Xbox Series consoles as well as on PC. However, the news decided otherwise. Indeed, the current conflict between Russia and Ukraine has upset the plans of the populations, including those of the development studio GSC World.
Recently, the studio had denounced the Russian invasion in Ukraine and had requested, a few days ago, financial aid for the Ukrainian armed forces. In addition to this, they released a short video available on the YouTube platform in which they announce to pause the development of STALKER 2 in order to focus on the protection of their employees and their families.
Against the backdrop of bombing footage and Motion Capture footage, they write the following words: ” This video is our response to “How are you guys”. Now, we strive to help our employees and their families survive. The development of the game has moved to the sidelines. But we will certainly continue. After the victory “.
STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl, its full name, is due out on Xbox Series and PC. Its development being at a standstill, its previously mentioned release date of December 8, 2022 is certainly postponed..
