The Galaxy is a ship from one of Star Citizen’s major manufacturers: RSI. This ship promotes versatility as well as operational range. Its main asset is to be able to accommodate among three different modules behind its hangar:
- A medical module
- A cargo module
- A refinery module
- More options that will be added in the future.
The Galaxy also has the advantage of a full height and width hangar door, allowing it toboard small vessels like a Pisces. The advertised cargo capacity is 64 UCS without the specific module.
It is similar to the Carrack in terms of dimensions, although slightly smaller.
The ship is properly armed, although combat is ostensibly not its area of operations. It embeds:
- 3 turrets equipped with 2 barrels size 5 each.
- The pilot has access to 8 size 2 missiles.
- A size 3 shield.
The ship is in the concept phase, but it allows Star Citizen teams to remind that modular ships will exist, and will have a particular interest. As for knowing what the possibilities will be for changing the modules, we will have to wait for the appearance of the first modular ship in the game to find out. Its launch price for the IAE is 424 euros, and its CCU value is 380 euros. These prices do not include the modules, which are each on sale for less than a hundred euros.
