Star Ocean: The Divine Force presents Elena, Albaird and DUMA related game mechanics in videos

The year-end schedule for Square-Enix will be responsible for and will include in particular Star Ocean: The Divine Forcea sixth numbered episode (at least in Japan) which had made its media comeback at the end of June, revealing its release date and a whole bunch of details, all accompanied by gameplay. Since then, we have been treated to two videos presenting the two main characters, Raymond Lawrence and Laeticia Auceriusour adventure changing depending on who we choose at the start, according to his point of view. Place now for the presentations of two of their comrades.

They will thus be accompanied byElena (Helena according to the French translation of the title of the video) and Albaird Bergholm. Like the previous time, we offer you the sequences with both English and Japanese dubbing.

  • Elena is a crew member of the merchant vessel Ydas and Raymond’s first mate. She manages the operation of almost the entire ship, and her vast knowledge and cool attitude have earned her the complete trust of Raymond and the crew. Elena is constantly surprised by Raymond’s propensity for recklessness, but she still has a high opinion of his leadership qualities.

  • Albaird Bergholm is a childhood friend of Laeticia, he now serves her as a knight of the kingdom of Aucerius. He excels in semiomancy and the handling of the chakram. His strong loyalty to Laeticia means that he is never far from her. Albaird’s left arm is covered all the way to his fingertips, and he occasionally gestures as if to protect it.

Furthermore, at the end of July, a second “Mission Report” introduced the robotic entity DUMA and the mechanics ofKinetic Assault. This form of life will notably allow us to move through the game areas, in addition to visibly causing us problems… We will therefore be able to fly (even in town), why not to go find treasures, such as gems used to strengthen DUMAwhich will also be able to scan the terrain for objects. Attacks fromKinetic Assault will use it in various ways, propelling us at high speed against the enemy, during healing and even to scan creatures. The video also introduces the surprise attack used to start the fight without having been spotted, the blinding technique and the aggression radar.

Star Ocean: The Divine Force will be released on October 27 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC (Steam). It is already possible to pre-order it on Amazon at a price of €69.99.
