Warning, spoilers. It is recommended to have seen episode 6 of the Star Wars: Ahsoka series before continuing reading this article.

After an epic fifth episode – considered by many fans as “the best episode of all the Star Wars series” – the series centered on Ahsoka returns with a new chapter that will please aficionados of the Rebels animated series.

Returned from the dead thanks to a final lesson with her former Master Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) in the World Between Worlds, Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) sets out in search of Sabine (Natasha Liu Bordizzo), who has left in her full journey with Baylan Skoll (Ray Stevenson), Shin Hati (Ivanna Sakhno) and Morgan Elsbeth (Diana Lee Inosanto) to Peridea, the planet where the Dathmiri were born.

Episode 6, available since September 20 on Disney+, tells us that this planet is also the cemetery of the Purrgil, the stellar whales, thanks to which Ahsoka travels to find Sabine.

Star Wars: Rebels fans have a nice surprise in episode 6

It is on this planet that Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen) was forced into exile, as was Ezra Bridger (Eman Esfandi), the hero of the Rebels series who was part of a group of rebels with Sabine Wren , Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), Kanan Jarrus (Freddie Prinze Jr. in the animated series; character who has since disappeared) and Zed Orrelios (Steven Blum, who reprized his voice role in The Mandalorian but is currently absent in the Ahsoka series).

It is precisely these two emblematic characters from the Star Wars universe that fans were finally able to discover in live-action in episode 6 of Ahsoka. Since the end of Rebels, aficionados imagined that Thrawn and Ezra were dead, but the series centered on Ahsoka allows them to continue their stories and bring them back to the forefront.

And we can say that their respective returns were celebrated by the fans, delighted to see again this great villain, Ahsoka’s greatest enemy, and this great hero, who is finally reunited with Sabine, from the Star Wars universe. And Internet users did not fail to share their excitement on social networks to celebrate their returns and note the major dramatic staging required for the live-action induction of these characters.

Obviously, the arrival of Thrawn and Ezra especially delights fans who have seen the animated series Star Wars: Rebels and who more easily understand the ins and outs of the Ahsoka series. But this new work does not leave the uninitiated aside and slowly but surely sets up the adventures of the famous Jedi, which ends in two weeks.

The Star Wars: Ahsoka series is currently streaming on Disney+.
