Star Wars: find out who will play Ezra Bridger in the Ahsoka series

It would seem that Ezra Bridger will be entitled to his live action version in the next series “Star Wars: Ahsoka” expected on Disney+.

Disney+

After her live-action introduction in season 2 of The Mandalorian, Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson), also seen in The Book of Boba Fett, will return to lead her own series in 2023 in which a another character from the Star Wars universe will make his debut, also in live action: a certain Ezra Bridger…

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, via the Cinelinx site, actor Eman Esfandi will play the animated character in Star Wars: Ahsoka, created by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni for Disney+.

Ezra Bridger made his debut in the 2014 animated series Star Wars Rebels, voiced by actor Taylor Gray. The character then went from an orphan gifted with the Force to a rebel trained in the manner of the Jedi.

In the cast of the new series, we can also find Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Australian actress Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren and comedian Ukrainian Ivanna Sakhno. Hayden Christensen will resume his cult role of Anakin Skywalker and Ray Stevenson will play a mysterious villain.

While plot details have yet to be released, we do know that Tano will travel across the galaxy in search of Grand Admiral Thrawn, a former commander of the Empire. Note that Star Wars Rebels ended with Thrawn and Ezra disappearing into space…

Eman Esfandi previously starred in Robert Rodriguez’s horror film, Red 11, screened at Cannes in 2019, as well as in The Williams Method, nominated, among other things, for the Oscar for best film. He also appears in the military drama The Inspection which recently received strong reviews at the Toronto Film Festival.

For months, rumors swirled about who would play Ezra on the show, with 2019 live-action Aladdin star Mena Massoud mentioned. The latter made peace with these rumors ending with this official announcement.

Glad the rumors stop now. Sadly never really had any luck (a self recorded video months ago) but it just wasn’t for me I guess”, wrote Massoud on Twitter on Friday. “I can’t deny the guy looks exactly like Ezra. I hope justice will be served!

Another rumor has it that a first look at the project will be shown at Disney’s D23 expo taking place this weekend in California. To be continued.
