Indeed, a short time ago, journalists from the Game Informer site interviewed the director of the game, Stig Asmussen. The latter then indicated that Cal Kestis could adopt multiple combat stances :
[…] We have developed five postures in the game. [Leur utilisation] mostly depends on the enemy you encounter. Certain types of stances are more advantageous against certain types of enemies, and it’s up to the player to figure that out. It asks the player to take down enemies and grab what is the best weapon to use […]
As you will have understood, these combat positions will be conditioned by the selected weapon. For example, Cal Kestis will be able to equip himself with a lightsaber as well as his blaster, simultaneously. Another, allowing you to perform heavy attacks, is inspired by Kylo Ren’s crossed lightsaber. In the gameplay trailer shared during the Game Awards 2022 ceremony, we can notably see some sequences in which Cal Kestis fights with two lightsabers (one in each hand).
