As expected, especially following certain rumors in recent months, the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has just been made official by Electronic Arts. Still developed by Respawn, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will tell the continuation of the adventures of Cal Kestis, protagonist of the first episode, who is one of the last Jedi still alive.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor made official
On the occasion of the Star Wars Celebration, we had the right to several announcements related to the Star Wars universe. Highly anticipated, the sequel to Fallen Order, released in 2019, showed up and unveiled its plot and a first trailer. We will therefore find ourselves immersed five years after the events of Fallen Order, while Cal Kestis is still hunted by the Empire. Accompanied by his faithful droid BD-1, Cal will have to meet new allies and face new enemies.
Electronic Arts further specifies that the gameplay of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be based on what was present in Fallen Order, with new innovations and skills to be learned, to master a little more the Force.
Even before we finished Jedi: Fallen Order, our team already had an idea of how to continue the adventure for Cal, BD, and the rest of the crew. For Jedi: Survivor, we’re working closely with Lucasfilm Games to continue the legacy of Jedi: Fallen Order. We’re using cutting-edge technology to create more dynamic Jedi battles and cutscenes to develop Cal’s story as he grows and survives this dark time. We look forward to sharing more details about the game with the world later this year.

No release date was given, but Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is expected in 2023. Still under development, it will arrive exclusively on the current generation of consoles and PC, to offer an even more advanced and deep experience.
