We expected it after the teaser shared by the manufacturer at the beginning of May, it is now official. The Chinese brand Mobvoi presented this week its new connected watch running Wear OS, the Ticwatch Pro 5 Enduro.

While we were hoping for a real new watch under Wear OS, this is more of a reissue of Mobvoi’s latest model, with some improvements both aesthetically and in terms of ergonomics.

As was already the case on the first version of the Ticwatch Pro 5, this Ticwatch Pro 5 Enduro thus integrates a dual screen display system. In typical use, the watch offers a 1.43-inch diameter Oled panel with a definition of 466 x 466 pixels. However, as an always-on display, the watch offers a very low consumption display, based on a liquid crystal screen. As a reminder, this system already allowed you to benefit from very good autonomy for the Ticwatch Pro 5, with more than three days of use. Logically, it should be the same for this variation โ€œEnduroยป, with its 628 mAh battery.

In terms of hardware and software, the watch does not reinvent the wheel and benefits from the same characteristics as the previous version. It therefore has the same Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 processor with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. On the software side, it is still Wear OS 3.5 that we find. Unfortunately, if Mobvoi could have taken advantage of this new version to upgrade to Wear OS 4 โ€“ even though Wear OS 5 should be presented next week โ€“ this is a missed opportunity.

A thinner and more resistant watch

In terms of sports and health data, the Ticwatch 5 Pro Enduro benefits from an optical heart rate monitor, a pulse oximeter and a GPS chip for training monitoring.

Ultimately, it is above all the aesthetic aspect which distinguishes this new version.Enduro“. Like the first edition, it has a rotating crown, but this is more easily manipulated thanks to its greater thickness. It also benefits from a sapphire glass screen coating for better resistance to scratches. Furthermore, the TicWatch 5 Pro Enduro is also thinner than the classic Ticwatch Pro 5, with 11.95 mm thick, compared to 12.12 mm for the previous generation.

Despite these few new features, the Ticwatch Pro 5 Enduro is priced at the same price as the Ticwatch pro 5 at its launch, at 359.99 euros. The watch is already available.
