(CercleFinance.com) – Starbucks and Nestlé announce an agreement by which the Swiss agri-food group plans to acquire the Seattle’s Best Coffee brand from the American coffee chain, an operation that will strengthen Nestlé’s activities in North America.
This transaction is part of Nestlé’s objective to generate sustained profitable growth in the coffee category and strengthens the Global Coffee Alliance by allowing both companies to focus on their core strengths.
This transaction, the terms of which remain confidential, is expected to close by the end of 2022, subject to respective Board of Directors approvals and customary regulatory approvals.
