Starfield: a first update and finally good news for PC players

Starfield has been available for almost a week, and on computers, some players are experiencing performance issues. Todd Howard, director of the game, kindly advised them to improve their PC, the fact remains that the title of Bethesda still has technical flawsand above all a lack of settings.

Today, Bethesda spear a first update on PC and Xbox Series X|S for Starfield, which aims to correct certain problems, but the studio also reveals its plans for the future. A short list but one that should delight players:

  • Brightness and contrast options;
  • HDR calibration menu;
  • Depth of field (FOV) gauge;
  • NVIDIA DLSS support (PC);
  • Support for 32:9 ultra-wide monitors (PC);
  • An Eat button for food!

The partnership with AMD for FidelityFX Super Resolution 2 exclusive will therefore only be short-lived, gamers with a graphics card NVIDIA will soon be able to benefit from DLSSwhich improves performance. Bethesda announces in passing to work with AMDIntel and NVIDIA for each update of Starfield, in order to ensure stability and performance. The studio takes the opportunity to discuss the mods in a more official way: the same story as very recently, the tool Creations will arrive on all platforms (PC and Xbox Series X|S) early next year.   • Shadows of Neon: Fixed an issue where player activity could result in the quest being blocked.
