Start of the new season – the start in Watten is still “toothless” for the time being

WSG Tirol starts on Monday with the pre-season without a single attacker from the past season. In addition, Sturm Graz should be on Tobias Anselm’s turn. No new problem for coach Thomas Silberberger.

When the WSG Tirol starts preparing for the new season on Monday, a special challenge awaits. Coach Thomas Silberberger will be on the field with 20 field players – but since Justin Forst is currently with the U19 team, not a single one of the “old” WSG striker guard will be there! Giacomo Vrioni is still traded in Italy. Thomas Sabitzer is back at LASK. And according to Transfermarkt, Tobias Anselm is on Sturm Graz’s wish list – even if Sturm’s sporting director Andreas Schicker (still) described it as “pure rumour”. Comes slowly. The Watten troops are still rather toothless. “We have to do some convincing first,” sighs Silberberger, “but I already know that. We’ll get an exciting squad, I’m sure. Probably just before the first round of the ÖFB Cup.” Eight players have left the WSG – you can count on six new faces.
