State councils agree – civil servants can enter nursing training

Civil servants become more usable
According to Hattmannsdorfer, it is doubly important that civil servants can already complete the introductory training in the GuKG professions (GuKG = Health and Nursing Act) during their time as civil servants (UBV module 140 hours, full credit also for PA and PFA / diploma training). Namely because: “Firstly, we can already use the civil servants better because they are allowed to provide basic services that they were NOT allowed to do before (assistance with dressing and undressing, help with washing). Secondly, we are making it more attractive for men to stay in the social sector after community service because they already have part of the follow-up training under their belts.”
