SteamCube from SteamOne: the steamer that was intended to be a steam generator

The French manufacturer SteamOne has just launched SteamCube. This device attempts to blur the boundaries between steamer and steam generator. As such, it can both remove wrinkles vertically and iron horizontally.

As its name suggests, the SteamCube has a rather imposing cubic base, measuring 35 x 33.5 x 45.5 cm. It contains a 2.5 liter water tank, offering steaming sessions of up to 1 hour 30 minutes, according to SteamOne. A brown leather handle makes it easy to grip this large tank. And if the steamer is durable, it is also powerful since it could reach a steam flow of 125 g/min, compared to 40 g/min for the Familys from the same manufacturer, for example.

Unlike many vertical steamers, the SteamCube is equipped with a trigger to activate the steam. In fact, many devices produce steam continuously, which can quickly saturate the room. The SteamCube also adapts to needs since it offers four steam flow rates, as well as a boost mode called “pressing”.

For ease of use, the steamer indicates to the user when it is necessary to add water and service the device. A drainage system is provided to avoid damage due to limescale accumulation.

For those looking for a quick ironing solution, those who want to put their ironing board in the cupboard or those who want to replace their steam generator with a versatile device, the SteamCube has been available for pre-order since the end of February at a price of €569. Deliveries will begin on March 15.
