After 25 years of collaboration, Stefan Raab (56) and the production company Brainpool, the subsidiary of Banijay Germany, are going their separate ways. The partnership between the TV titan and the company will expire at the end of the year and will not be continued. This is what Marcus Wolter, CEO and co-founder of Banijay Germany, said the media portal “DWDL” confirmed last Wednesday evening (October 18th).

“Great trip together”

“Thanks to Stefan for the great journey together, he contributed significantly to the expansion of Brainpool and built a great entertainment catalog,” says Wolter. The collaboration is said to have ended by mutual agreement. From the new year 2024, Brainpool will have the sole rights to famous Raab formats such as “TV total” or “Schlag den Star”.

Wolter describes this as a “treasure” that he and his team want to “evaluate and further develop” in the future. “We will prove ourselves worthy of Raab’s legacy and remain on friendly terms.” It is said that the shows hosted by Elton (52) or Sebastian Pufpaff (47) will continue as usual.

Stefan Raab ended his active television career in 2015

Stefan Raab and Brainpool started doing business together in 1998 for “TV total”. Together they founded the subsidiary Raab TV. Stefan Raab, who was seen on television for years, ended his active TV career in 2015. In December 2015 he made his last television appearance on the 55th edition of “Schlag den Raab” (now “Schlag den Star”). Since then, the TV titan has only worked in the background on television projects.
