Stellar Blade: another scandal, Sony speaks out

Tomorrow will come out Stellar Bladean action and adventure game developed by Shift Upa Korean studio that has enormously highlighted the curves and animations of its heroine EVE. An imagery that has caused a lot of ink to flow, almost obscuring the fact that Stellar Blade offers a gameplay really nervous and enjoyable.

However, it’s another controversy that breaks out a few hours before the release. The testers indeed noticed that the sign of the boutique Roxanne, the “R Shop”, is preceded by the graffiti “Hard”. As you can see in the shared image by IGN above, it is easy to read “Hard R”, which is an extremely racist insult, especially in the United States. An unfortunate error, because the “Hard” tag is also present on other walls in the game, but Sonypublisher of the game, still wanted to express himself :

The placement of two visual elements near each other in Stellar Blade resulted in an unintentional objectionable phrase. Shift Up did not intend to create offensive artwork and will replace the graffiti in the day one patch.

Players should therefore not be confronted with this unintentional insult, a matter reminiscent of a slightly too political sign also changed in Lies of P before its release. You can buy Stellar Blade against €69.99 on Amazon, Cdiscount And Fnac.
