“We wanted to create the event.” To celebrate the 500th anniversary of “Historically Yours”, Stéphane Bern and his team are going to the Palace of Versailles this Monday from 4 p.m. And it is dressed in their finest 18th century costumes that they will celebrate their candle, surrounded by an audience who have also come to celebrate this anniversary programme.
“I never imagined that one day I would do the 500th”
“Versailles is the place where we open the ball, when you think of History, you immediately think of the Hall of Mirrors, the Palace of Versailles. We wanted to create the event for this 500th, I did not imagine that one day I will do the 500th of “Historically Yours”, I will be exhausted before, well no! We held on with a great team, who are there every day and help us to make these shows exist” , he confided to the microphone of Europe 1 on Monday.
Clémentine Portier-Kaltenbach, Jean-Luc Lemoine, David Castello-Lopes, Virginie Girod, Yvane Jacob, Philippe Charlier and Olivier Poels will accompany Stéphane Bern who, like every day between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., will tell the story of three illustrious characters who did not live at the same time, “who have nothing to do together” but who all the same have a common point, “often a little humorous”.
For this 500th issue, the stories of Louis XV and his Ifs ball will be told as well as those of Charles de Beistegui and his ball of the Century in Venice. Who will be the third character? Stéphane Bern still ignores it, “I feel like it’s going to be my party”, he laughed.
