(CercleFinance.com) – STMicroelectronics announces that it is contributing, with several STM32 microcontrollers, to ‘Switchback’, a combat robot weighing around 113 kilos and having a twin-engine rotating drum mounted on a fully ambidextrous arm.

Designed by the company REV Robotics, the Switchback robot will deliver its first fight on the Discovery Channel on January 6, 2022 and will be on display in STMicro’s private suite at CES 2022.

In addition to the use of the STM32 microcontroller in its combat robot, REV uses in its product kits a set of sensors, motor control circuits and protection components developed by STMicro.
