(CercleFinance.com) – STMicro announces that Software République -an entity launched jointly by Atos, Dassault Systèmes, Orange, Renault Group, STMicroelectronics and Thales- will take advantage of the next Paris Motor Show (from October 17 to 23 in Paris) to present a demonstrator of a two-way, connected and secure charging station at the Paris Motor Show, aimed at both individuals and professionals.
IHS Markit also estimates that in Europe, the cumulative deployment of electric charging stations will increase by 24% per year during the period 2020-30.
Called ‘MobilizePowerbox’, this charging station will deliver power ranging from 7 to 22 kW.
STMicro specifies that the bidirectional version of the terminal will make it possible to use the storage capacity of the Li-ion battery of the vehicle as a source of energy.
‘With MobilizePowerbox, the Software République wishes to democratize bidirectional charging functionalities and contribute to intelligent energy management’, concludes STMicro.
