Stop of Plus belle la vie: Laurent Kérusoré turns on the boss of France Télévisions, “it’s pathetic”

A few weeks ago, Laurent Kérusoré learned, dumbfounded, the stop of Plus belle la vie. With Here Paris, the interpreter of Thomas Marci did not mince words about France Télévisions and its president.

Laurent Kérusoré is bitter. A few weeks ago, like the other actors of Plus belle la vie, the interpreter of Thomas Marci learned of the end of the series of France 3. In the columns of Here Paris, the actor paid the France Télévisions group which took this unexpected decision and its boss, Delphine Ernotte. “I thought that the public service was proud to have us… A priori not, because it seems that we are too popular and that Mrs. Ernotte wants to do culture… Apparently, popular culture does not interest her”, annoyed Laurent Kérusoré. And to come back to how he learned of the end of Plus belle la vie: Ms. Ernotte didn’t even come to tell us the bad news, not even a letter. She sent one of her right arms. We were fired by an enarque who, in two years, will work in a bank or at Orange. Fired by an enarque, I don’t understand…”

Once the bad news had been digested, Laurent Kérusoré was amazed by the solidarity of the entire Plus belle la vie team. “All the actors and technicians are, despite everything, in a positive spirit, without any hatred, but I really would not like to be in the place of the leaders of France Télévisions”, added the actor, freshly single, with our colleagues. But the interpreter of Thomas Marci does not understand the choice of France Télévisions. On the contrary, because for him, “the series had become the antidepressant of the French”. “There is something very social in Plus belle la vie. Withdrawing a program that helps people is pathetic from a public service channel.c, he still got angry in the columns of Here Paris. We have often been ahead on many social issues and its evolution. We’re very proud of that.”

More beautiful life: which program will replace the series?

Plus belle la vie will bow out on November 18, 2022. The series will then be replaced by a program dedicated to the Paris Olympic Games. “From January 2023, the most strategic crossroads, from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. on France 3 and on the slot previously occupied by Plus belle la vie, will be devoted to the Games every day thanks to a dedicated program”, announced the group in a press release a few weeks ago. Carole Gaessler “will bring the French closer to the ambitions and the sporting, economic, technological and cultural challenges” of the Olympics. For her part, the president of France Télévision was delighted with this novelty: The decision to make the Games a priority for 18 months gives us more time to prepare a very good program. There are plenty of ideas. It is the most strategic crossroads, between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. As for the program that will occupy this box after the Olympics, nothing has been decided yet.
