Stories are coming to Telegram, how does it work?

Telegram brings a new very “social network” feature, with the launch of Stories on its messaging application.

As we know, in the tech world, when a rival adopts a somewhat fashionable feature, it is difficult for its competitors to resist. We are therefore not surprised to learn today on the channel of the founder of Telegram that the messaging application will soon launch a Stories option. And this, despite an initial refusal.

An emphasis on confidentiality

As we are on Telegram, the Stories will allow the user to protect their privacy as much as possible. It will thus be possible to choose how long the Story will appear (6, 12, 24, 48 hours or permanently) as well as the people who will be able to see the content you want to share.

Similarly, to avoid too inquisitive looks on your screen, a “Hidden” section in which you can include contacts whose Stories you do not want to appear on your home screen is on the program. For the rest, the options will be quite usual, with in particular the possibility of adding links or tagging people. With the launch in a week, it will quickly be possible to judge the quality of the functionality.
