Storm Dudley: A violent wave breaks the windows of a boat (video)

While sailing on the Elbe River near Hamburg in Germany, a ferry suffered from storm Dudley on Thursday February 17. The passengers on board were frightened.

With winds of up to 152 km/h, storm Dudley, which has been affecting Germany since February 16, is making river traffic in the country very complicated. As proof, a wave came crashing down on a ferry from the Hadag transport company and broke its windows.

A video filmed by one of the passengers shows the violence of this impact. The windows shattered into a thousand pieces, leaving at the same time waterspouts entering the passenger compartment.

No injuries among the passengers

Some passengers who had sat near the windows were thrown backwards, while others were able to run to get as far away from these windows as possible. According to local media, none of the people on the ferry were injured.

Following this spectacular incident, ferry traffic was interrupted and an investigation was launched to understand the reasons why the windows broke.
