Stranded: Alien Dawn presents its first major update, Dunes and Moons

Haemimont Games went from sunny simulation to space survival with the snap of a finger between Tropic 5 and Surviving Mars. The studio obviously wants to stay a little longer in space with its new survival and simulation game, Stranded: Alien Dawn, which entered its early access phase last month. Over the next few weeks, the title will regularly receive content to move towards its final form, and we discover today the first major update which aims to enrich the experience.

Lots of new features for this first big update

This update is called Dunes and Moons and will arrive from December 1 in Stranded: Alien Dawn. Its major novelty will be adding a new biome, Desertum, which, we give you right on target, will present a lot of dunes and a desert landscape, filled with mountains. Who says desert also says unpredictable sandstorms, which you will have to learn to control.

A new survivor will also be added, Sora. Nothing to do with the kid with the oversized shoes and the giant key, we reassure you. This character will be well equipped to live within the climatic conditions of Desertum, and will be very useful to face a new threat, the tecatli reptilians.

We talked about the dunes, so we have to approach the moons. Three new moons will be added, namely Jason, Nyx and Chaos. The first will set up more enemies; the second will make night attacks more frequent; while the latter will favor unforeseeable events. And as if that weren’t enough to add to the challenge, the update will also add two more difficulty modes.

Stranded: Alien Dawn is available in early access on PC via Steam.
