It’s the big day for Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, which, even if it has been accessible for some time via early access for those who have pre-ordered the Deluxe edition, is officially released today. On this occasion, instead of a traditional launch trailer, Square-Enix reveals the introductory scene of the game, supposed to set the tone of the adventure.
Chaos is unleashed
We therefore see “Garland” seize the princess of the kingdom by wreaking a real carnage within the castle, with crystallization and a great blow of the sword, then referring to the story of the first Final Fantasy. If you had already done the demo, you won’t have any surprises here.
It’s dark, bloody, and it wants to show us that this spin-off is aimed at a more mature audience, although the rest of the adventure is not quite of the same ilk, as we specify in our test.
