Stranger Things: An 80s Legend Joins Season 5 On Netflix


Netflix took advantage of its global event Tudum to unveil a new casting announcement for its flagship series: we named the one and only “Stranger Things”.

Netflix’s annual TUDUM event continues its revelations: we learn, via ComingSoon, that Linda Hamilton will be part of the cast of season 5 of Stranger Things. And yes, LA Sarah Connor of the Terminator saga, essential star of the 80s, will therefore return to the era that made her famous in a role that has yet to be seen.

The actress is also known for playing Catherine Chandler on the television series Beauty and the Beast between 1987 and 1990, a role that earned her two Golden Globe nominations as well as an Emmy nomination. In addition, she has been seen in feature films such as Dante’s Peak (1997) alongside Pierce Brosnan, Children of the Corn (1984), a horror film adapted from the short story Corn Devils by Stephen King, or even King Kong Lives (1986). She also had a recurring role on the Chuck series, before returning as her cult character in Terminator: Dark Fate in 2019.

You know it, Stranger Things, created and produced by Matt and Ross Duffer, who also serve as showrunners, is one of the most-watched series on the platform. After a compelling and action-packed Season 4, the show will bid farewell with its highly anticipated fifth and final season. Besides this final season, Netflix is ​​also developing an anime series set in the same universe but taking place in Tokyo this time.
