Stranger Things Day: The schedule for the Netflix event – can we expect a trailer for season 5?

STRANGER THINGS

“Stanger Things Day” is here – but what does that even mean? We’ll tell you the program for the Netflix event and explain why a new trailer is unlikely.

Update from November 7th: “Stranger Things Day” is over. Netflix released various recaps of the first four seasons, gave away merchandise and even revealed how season 5 will begin once the final season can finally be filmed. Further information about the new episodes cannot be expected until 2024.

The fourth season of “Stranger Things” is now over a year ago. In London, fans can soon look forward to the play “Stranger Things: The First Shadow”, but everyone else will have to wait a long time for new stories from Hawkins – right?

On November 6, 2023, Netflix will host “Stranger Things Day,” which will also kick off the 7-day “Geeked Week.” But what awaits us on this day? This is difficult to answer, despite the streaming service’s official schedule.

Netflix rewinds

Netflix makes no secret of the fact that “Stranger Things Day” is primarily a look back. No wonder: The actors’ strike in the USA is still ongoing and therefore season 5 of “Stranger Things” hasn’t even been filmed yet.

So you shouldn’t expect a trailer or pictures from the set, although Netflix at least promises new information. The only thing that is certain so far is the schedule for the reviews of the first four seasons, which probably await us on social media. At the beginning, however, the play from London is discussed. This is the program for “Stranger Things Day”:

  • 3 p.m.: Hawkins 1959 – Before the World turned Upside Down
  • 4 p.m.: Return to Season 1
  • 6 p.m.: Return to Season 2
  • 8 p.m.: Return to Season 3
  • 10 p.m.: Return to Season 4

So information about season 4 could await us before, in between or after. Netflix also promises exclusive merchandise, although this could also be a US exclusive offer. “Stranger Things” fans can be excited, but they shouldn’t set their expectations too high. It will probably be another year before we see the first moving images from season 5.
