  • The successful Netflix series “Stranger Things” ends after five seasons.
  • This is exactly the right time for leading actor David Harbour.
  • The actor is looking forward to new projects and new series by the Duffer brothers.

Saying goodbye can be painful, especially when it’s goodbye forever. But sometimes something has to end for something new to begin. This also applies to the successful Netflix series “Stranger Things”, from which we have to say goodbye after the 5th season.

As difficult as saying goodbye is for leading actor David Harbor (“Black Widow”), who has played Jim Hopper since season one, the series finale of “Stranger Things” comes at just the right time.

When I started the show, I never wanted it to end. That’s why I love this series. I think it’s a great show even if I wasn’t there. It’s now almost nine years since the first season was filmed. I think it’s about time it ended now.

But the end of his series also has a bitter aftertaste for Harbour. So he was seen in the role of Jim Hopper for almost a decade. He watched his young fellow actors Millie Bobby Brown (“Enola Holmes”), Finn Wolfhard (“When You Finish Saving the World”), Caleb McLaughlin (“Concrete Cowboy”) and Gaten Matarazzo (“Honor Society”) grow older and develop a friendly relationship with them.

We’ve all grown up. It’s time for us to leave this nest and try other things and other projects. And letting the Duffer Brothers try different things, too. I mean these guys are so talented. I want to see what they come up with next.

The ending comes at just the right time for series creators Matt and Ross Duffer, too. The director brothers themselves decided that their series would find its grand finale after 5 seasons. True to the motto: You should go when it’s most beautiful.

It is not yet known when we will see the big series finale of “Stranger Things”. However, Will Byers actor Noah Schnapp revealed in an Instagram Story that filming for Season 5 will start in May 2023. As a result, we could expect the new episodes in the summer of 2024.
