Flagship series of the American platform Netflix, Stranger Things will end at the end of a fifth season. But directors Matt and Ross Duffer have announced a nice surprise to their fans: the preparation of a spin-off series.
Stranger Things fans have plenty to be excited about. The Stranger Things saga, which mixes science fiction, horror and teenage adventures in a small American town of the 1980s, was immediately a great success. As a reminder, the scenario features a group of young people who find themselves struggling with monsters from a parallel dimension. The fourth season, which recently aired on Netflix, is well ahead of the platform’s rankings in terms of viewing, with more than 1.15 billion hours on the clock.

And those crazy numbers are set to climb even higher as the latest episode has only been uploaded for a week. In the history of the platform, only the South Korean series Squid Game has managed to do better with Netflix subscribers. A real card. So the brothers Matt and Ross Duffer, the creators and directors of Stranger Things, decided not to stop there: the latter sent an open letter to fans of the series to let them know that “many more exciting stories were yet to be told in the world of Stranger Things”. To understand: at least one derivative series is being developed.
