Stray sticks to its release date, with a surprise for PS Plus subscribers

Between a few big game announcements, the State of Play was an opportunity to highlight a few independent games. This is the case of the French Stray which confirms the leaks around its release date.

It caught the eye of players when it was announced on PS5 and it finally returns to State of Play in June 2022 to reveal its release date. But Stray’s little cat has kept a little surprise in his backpack for PlayStation gamers.

Stray free at launch for PS Plus Extra subscribers

The wick had been sold inadvertently, it is now confirmed. Stray, the indie game that caused a stir, will be available on July 19 on PC and PS5, as a console exclusive. An announcement that was made in the rules of the art with a trailer that plants the cyberpunk atmosphere of the game and that shows some skills of the cute ginger cat.

However, that wasn’t the only good news. Little surprise, the French game will be available for free for PS Plus Premium and Extra subscribers when it launches. As a reminder, Stray follows a lost little rufous feline, alone and separated from his family, who travels through a forgotten cyber-city to solve a mystery and return home. It will not be an easy task, since this inhospitable place is full of dangerous creatures and droids, but he will be able to count on his companion B12, a flying drone.
