Primewire offers a variety of films and series for free and without registration in the stream, but is it really legal?
Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Co: There are many streaming services and they all cost money. There would be one free streaming service, where you can still watch top-class films and series, a welcome change. But is Primewire really legal? Or are you even making yourself liable to prosecution by using it? We clarify it in the article.

Primewire is illegal: Here’s why
Primewire is a website that thrives on advertising revenue. So your main goal is to generate as many visitors as possible. So if the site itself were to warn that using their site is illegal, that would be counterproductive. You don’t realize right away that you’re outside the law. However, Primewire, like most other sites, has Evidence that you should rather not use the site:
- Among other things, Primewire offers films that it actually only in the cinema to see. An example of this is Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. And when the latest entry in the MCU is available to stream, it’s on Disney+. Marvel wouldn’t simply let any random streamer who offers their content completely free of charge licenses.
- In addition to the respective films, you will also find a quality feature for the stream on Primewire. Most movies and TV shows will say “HD” here, but every now and then the quality will be labeled “CAM“ marked. That means that the Film filmed in the cinema became! It’s absolutely not legal.
- Primewire offers series that actually Own productions of well-known other streaming services are. “The Lincoln Lawyer” is an example. The Lawyer Series is a Netflix production and can therefore only be found legally on Netflix. Primewire does not have the necessary licenses to show the series.

Illegal streaming on Primewire: This threatens you when you use it
Many people still remember that streaming on illegal websites is a kind of legal gray area. However, that changed in 2017 with a ruling by the European Court of Justice. Anyone who actively uses such a site is committing a copyright infringement and can fine of up to 150 euros be prosecuted. Any additional content streamed may result in claims for damages.
