(AOF) – Carrefour and Nexity announce the creation of “Villes et Commerces”, the land support vehicle for the contribution by Carrefour of an initial basket of 69 sites. 80% owned by the distributor and 20% by the real estate operator, it constitutes a key step in the execution of the long-term partnership between the two groups, announced on July 6. With the eventual redevelopment of 76 Carrefour sites via urban diversity operations throughout France, this partnership will enable the first large-scale urban regeneration operation on a national scale.
This long-term partnership will allow Carrefour and Nexity to develop mixed programs with high environmental performance, welcoming housing, service residences, shops, offices and hotels.
For Carrefour, this operation is part of the Carrefour 2026 strategic plan and the project to promote its real estate portfolio in France.
