Stromae, exceptional guest of TF1 8pm on Sunday January 9

After seven years of absence, Stromae returns with a new album eagerly awaited by his fans. On this occasion, the multi-awarded Belgian singer-songwriter – four NRJ Music Awards and five Victoires de la Musique – will be the exceptional guest of TF1’s 8pm newscast this Sunday, January 9. His first speech on television about this new opus.

With his second album Square root published in 2013 (after Cheese, in 2010), which has sold six million copies worldwide, the 36-year-old artist had achieved worldwide success: his triumphant tour had brought together a million people over 200 dates in more than twenty-five countries . A public and critical success which had also exhausted him physically and mentally over two years of concerts, so that the singer had withdrawn from the musical circuit.

But after being discreet for seven years, Stromae will release his new album, Multitude, next March 4. A first single, “Health”, was unveiled last October, a title dedicated to the daily workers invisible to pay tribute to their professions. The interpreter of “Papaoutai” and “Terrific” will return to the festival scene this summer, as at Rock en Seine, on August 28, 2022, before a tour of the Zénith and the Arena in 2023.
