In Alsace, four children made an incredible discovery. They indeed fell on a treasure hidden under a bridge, which contained stolen jewels.
An improvised treasure hunt. In Alsace, in the small village of Storckensohn, near Mulhouse, four young boystwo brothers and two neighbors aged 6 to 10, who were walking in the town, made an amazing discovery. As they walked along a stream, they have seen two white plastic bags under a bridge.
“Their parents always tell them that when you find waste like that, you take the bags, you put them in the recycling center or in the trash. They go to these bags and they see that the bags are full. They see boxes and in the boxes, what do they find? Of the jewelry !“, told Jacques Karcher, the mayor of the town with our colleagues from RTL.
The jewels were returned to their owner
Inside, the boys found boxes that contained necklaces, rings, … “For them, that’s it, it’s the loot! This is the treasure they found…amazing!”, explained the mayor. After discovering this incredible treasure, the children took the bags to their parents who, in turn, went to see the mayor. The latter finally handed over the bags to the gendarmerie, who recognized jewelry stolen two weeks ago in a nearby village. These jewels have also been returned to their owner.
But in reality, they had no value. In fact, it was fake jewelry, but the mayor decided not to tell the children, so as not to minimize their good deed. “It’s a good example of kids doing their civic duty, it’s really bombastic, but they respect nature, then if they see something that’s not normal, they take it to the parents, they don’t ‘don’t try to grab it’, proudly confided the city councilor. Finally, to salute their action, Jacques Karcher decided to reward the children. He thus offered the community medal to the “leader of the gang”, and everyone received a bag of candy and a movie ticket.
