Color gives hope – and we definitely need it in these times. The designers know that too: The batik trend is once again coloring the catwalks and straight away our cupboards. Whether dresses, shirts or accessories, there is a suitable piece for everyone.
When you think of batik, the first thing that comes to mind is the seventies. And with everything that goes with it: colors, festivals, flower power. However, the textile dyeing process has a few centuries more under its belt: it originally comes from Indonesia, where complex patterns are applied to fabrics using this method. Anyone who has tried their hand at old T-shirts knows that a stylish end result is not that easy. Styling, on the other hand, is much easier!

With a few pieces in a tie-dye look, we say “goodbye” to the pandemic blues, at least optically. Whether as a key piece or in combination with calm patterns, these are mood makers for everyday life.

From head to toe in the same fabric – that is not only fast, but also an eye-catcher. Whether it’s a leisure set, maxi dress or suit: in order not to lose the colorful thread, accessories and make-up should be more relaxed here. Bright color combinations are also not a must. Muted, cool tones look just as stylish in tie dye.

Would you like a clean look? Sure, nothing easier than that: Combine your favorite piece with shades like beige, gray, brown, blue. This makes the exciting pattern look more reserved without becoming boring. A little bling-bling. Magic the eyeliner with a brush stroke. Here we go!
If you want to carefully approach this trend, you can start with individual pieces or accessories. Batik-look nails also discreetly pimp the outfit. But as with everything, the same applies here: only in the way you feel comfortable.
