The new year is just around the corner – again. Whether with loved ones or alone: We dance into the new year in these looks and hope that it will be as good as our outfits.
Every year I am happy that the year is slowly coming to an end. Sometimes with one crying eye, sometimes with two laughing eyes. Although the changes that are imminent for the coming year are already being considered, the question always remains: why only then and not now? It doesn’t depend on the turn of the year, but much more on yourself. And the eternal “next year I’ll get better!” Translated, it doesn’t actually mean anything more than “I’m not ready to change at the moment.” But it should still be celebrated! Because New Year is like a big party for the birthday child world. And we like to dress up for that, because it more than deserves to be celebrated. This also applies if we stay home again this year!

… hit the plaster! Just because we might be watching “Dinner for One” on the couch at home for the umpteenth time doesn’t mean a free ticket for the rotten look. Because even in our own four walls it is worthwhile to dress up: If not for us, then for whom? It can be a new, cozy two-piece suit or silver mules with a sexy cut-out dress.
Shines like the brightest star
This works best with anything that glitters and shimmers. Kind of typical and just belongs to New Year’s Eve like snow is to Christmas, right? If you don’t want to replace the disco ball, you can selectively style and focus on sparkling make-up or other accessories. It is important that you match both to your outfit. Before you get on with your sparkling eyes, don’t forget: Find out in advance what your look needs. First apply make-up to the eyes and then the foundation. You should always dab on glitter, it will be nice and intense. To avoid messes, have a cosmetic tissue ready.
Well-tried favorites
Silver, gold, red, black. It always works! The little black dress, which we always have ready anyway, goes perfectly with the occasion of the New Year. If you want it to be very uncomplicated, simply take a slip dress in any color and combine it with your favorite jewelry. Oversized suits give you plenty of freedom of movement for the party at home as well as space for delicious raclette! In order not to look like we’ve just come out of the office, we just put a bustier underneath – or for the particularly brave: a touch of nothing.
