Former Sion trainer Ricardo Dionisio takes over as coach at Stade-Lausanne-Ouchy, currently second from bottom in the Super League.
The 40-year-old Portuguese succeeds promotion coach Anthony Braizat, who was sacked on Monday, at the penultimate team in the Super League. He signed a contract until 2025. His first challenge is to lead the Vaudois, who have not won in the last 5 championship games, to stay in the league.
Dionisio had a short guest appearance at FC Sion in 2020. After 5 games (which were spread over 5 months due to the Corona interruption) and only 2 points won, he had to make way for Paolo Tramezzani. Before that he coached Stade Nyonnais. His successor at Nyon was… Anthony Braizat.
Since leaving Switzerland, Dionisio has worked, among other things, as a member of the staff of his compatriot Renato Paiva in Latin America as an assistant and fitness coach.
