An old TV format will celebrate its return, albeit under a new flag: “Sue me!” comes back with new episodes on RTL.

private broadcaster RTL has announced the return of a TV format that was discontinued almost ten years ago. As early as October 2 this year, new episodes of the legal dispute docu-soap “Kill me!” appear. No longer as originally on VOX, but now on RTL in the early evening program (from 5 p.m.) there will always be a new episode to watch on weekdays. After the broadcast, it will also be possible to watch the episodes free of charge for 30 days via the RTL+ streaming service.

Nothing has changed in the basic concept. Once again, a fictitious legal dispute from everyday life is presented in each episode, which, according to the broadcaster, is “based on actual events”. These range “from neighborhood, rent and inheritance disputes to divorce wars or paternity suits”. In interludes, a real lawyer comments on the case presented by the actors and explains the legal background.

Real lawyers judge the legal basis

Specialist lawyer and author Christopher Posch (47) will do this for the new episodes. TV viewers already know him from various similar formats such as “The Juvenile Court” or “Public Prosecutor Posch Investigates”. Also in “Mario Barth reveals!” Posch has been seen again and again and he even had a guest appearance in the RTL series “Unter uns”. In real life, he last represented the rapper Gzuz (35), who was in court.

The show “Sue me!” celebrated its television premiere on VOX in November 2011. In it, the three lawyers Karsten Dusse (50), Matthias Klagge (52) and Funda Bıçakoğlu (57) alternately shared their impressions of the case. In 2013, the production of the format was discontinued, until the following year, the already completed episodes were still broadcast.
