Suikoden: Producer Yasuo Daikai wants the series to continue with new games

The announcement of Konami for the Tokyo Game Show was relevant to the series Suikoden, but only for a remaster of the first two episodes. So yes, it’s probably better than nothing since Konami doesn’t produce many games at the moment, and it’s quite unexpected to see this license being put forward again, but it’s probably not not enough for the first hour fans who would like something new. And they are obviously not the only ones.

A remaster that will determine the future of the license?

Interviewed by IGN on the occasion of this announcement at the Tokyo Game Show, the producer of this remaster, Yasuo Daikaialso expressed his desire to see Konami produce more games Suikoden in the future :

I can’t say anything specific at the moment, but we don’t really want this all to end with the remaster. So yes, I would really like to continue making more Suikoden games in the future. So we hope that all our fans will support us, and we hope that we can keep these promises and that you can enjoy them. ยป

The call is therefore launched, and it is now up to Konami to see if the series can be revived or not. The remaster’s sales figures will undoubtedly be decisive for this, in order to gauge the interest of the public. See you in 2023 to see what is worth Suikoden I & II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars and if the series will have a future after this one.
