Faithful to the post, the Summer Game Fest is already back. And this year seems to be the year of victory for Geoff Keighley, who saw his event impose itself while E3 sinks into oblivion, once again canceled. A horde of conferences are therefore planned for this edition, with their announcements, trailers and other revelations of all kinds. Most of the big publishers are present, whether during the main show or in their dedicated conference. Here is the schedule of everything to watch this summer during the Summer Game Fest 2023.

Guerrilla Collective Showcase
Wednesday, June 7, 2023 – 6 p.m.
First segment devoted to independent games with the Guerrilla Collective. With generally around fifty titles highlighted for a little over an hour. An event page on Steam usually follows, bringing together many demos available as soon as the conference ends.
Summer Game Fest 2023 – The main event
Thursday June 8, 2023 – 9 p.m.
Geoff Keighley, far too happy to have buried E3, returns with his big show. 2 hours where the big players in the industry will be invited, with a horde of world premiere and exclusive trailers. This good Geoff also promises three or four stunning announcements, since people love novelties (sic). In short, an appointment as essential as it is tiring to follow.
Wholesome Direct
Saturday June 10, 2023 – 6 p.m.
The meeting place for cuddly games that smell of love and cute animals is back. But the presentation should once again be very busy, since more than 70 games have already been announced on the program. Too bad, because the conference last year had quickly turned into indigestion, and would have needed a bit of curation.
Future Games Show
Saturday June 10, 2023 – 7 p.m.
Another event that highlights independent games and AA productions, the Future Games Show is also faithful to the position. A presentation that should last a little over an hour, with more than 50 games on the program. And the actors Yuri Lowenthal and Laura Bailey, respectively Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson in Marvel’s Spider-Man to host everything.
Xbox Games Showcase
Sunday June 11, 2023 – 7 p.m.
The other big chunk of the Summer Game Fest is on Microsoft’s side. Will the conference be like last year focused on titles scheduled for the next 12 months? Nothing is less certain, because if the schedule has been respected with a few exceptions, such a strict framework will not be suitable every time. Either way, the big franchises will be there. Whether they are from home or simply planned to arrive on the Game Pass. With a bonus live special for Starfield in the process, and an extended showcase on June 13 at 7 p.m. to broadcast more gameplay and interviews with the developers.
PC Gaming Show
Sunday June 11, 2023 – 10 p.m.
Scarecrow of the period, the PC Gaming Show remains a huge obstacle course to follow. Because it is often two hours where sterile exchanges are linked with developers who do not necessarily have much to tell and sponsored segments. But, in the midst of it all, some interesting trailers and announcements can get lost. Are already planned in the program Baldur’s Gate 3 which will be released this summer, Frostpunk 2 or Stormgate.
Ubisoft Forward
Monday June 12, 2023 – 7 p.m.
Now well refocused on Assassin’s Creed, Ubisoft should have a lot to show about the license, especially given the number of titles currently in development. But the catalog of the French publisher remains loaded apart from the Templars, since we can quote pell-mell Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Or The Crew Motorfest that are scheduled for this fiscal year. And we haven’t even broached the subject of the cursed Skull and Boneswhich will have to come out one day.
And then everything else
Other events should certainly come to complete this program, especially since some regulars are missing for the moment. We can cite in particular Developer and its ultra-perched video concepts, which has not yet communicated on the date of its presentation. Big publishers like Square Enix, Electronic Arts or even Capcom can always pull a show out of their hats at the last moment.
For its part, Nintendo should not have a Direct on hand, especially since the huge release of Tears of the Kingdom is very recent. Nevertheless, one should never underestimate the ability of the small Japanese craftsman to do the opposite of what is expected.
Finally, not necessarily in the big rush of the Summer Game Fest, but we can note that Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio (Like a Dragon) is organizing a presentation on June 16 at 5 a.m. French time.
